OBJECT > The object of Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em is to beat the Player/Dealer by having a higher-ranking 5-card Poker hand.
GAMEPLAY > In Texas Hold’em, all players receive two face-down cards as their personal hand, after which there is a round of betting. Three face-up board cards are turned simultaneously (called the “Flop”) and another round of betting occurs. The next two board cards are turned one at a time, with a round of betting after each card. In Limit Hold’em the last two betting rounds are doubles of the betting round on the Flop.
The board cards are community cards, and after the final round of betting, a player may use any five-card combination from among the board and personal cards. A player may even use all of the board cards and no personal cards to form a hand. This is called “playing the board.”
