Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot

The Turlock Poker Room is now offering Big and Little "Bad Beat Progressive Jackpots" for all players participating in qualifying live game action.

Jackpot totals as of May 16th, 2008:


Big - $33, 108

    Small - $400


Jackpot Conditions:
The "Big Bad Beat" qualifying event occurs when a player with a qualified hand of four eights or better is beaten by any higher ranking hand held by another player.

For a hand to be qualified for a "Bad Beat" both cards from the winning players hand and both cards from the "Bad Beat" players hand must play. The minimum number of players at the table is four.

  • The “Small” “BAD BEAT” qualifying event occurs when a player with a qualified hand of Aces Full of Tens, but less than Four Eights, is beaten by any higher ranking hand held by another player.
  • For a hand to be qualified for a “BAD BEAT”, exactly two hole (a.k.a. pocket) cards per player hand and three board cards must play. In other words, both cards from the winning player’s hand and both cards from the “BAD BEAT” player’s hand must play. Winning hands will not be counterfeited by the board.

 


Jackpot Payouts:
Big Bad Beat
• 35% of the “primary” jackpot to the player holding the “Bad Beat” hand. 
• 25% of the “primary” jackpot to the player with the winning hand.
• 30% of the “primary” jackpot divided equally to each player seated at the  “Bad Beat”        table, other than the winning and “Bad Beat” hands themselves, who were dealt to at the start of the “Bad Beat” hand.
• 10% of the “primary” jackpot divided equally to each player at all other jackpot-eligible tables in the house.

      Small Bad Beat

  • 50% of the jackpot to the player holding the “BAD BEAT” hand. If more than one hand qualifies, the prize is divided equally between hands.
  • 30% of the jackpot to the player with the winning hand.
  • The balance of the jackpot (20%) is divided equally to each player seated at the “Small” “BAD BEAT” table, other than the winning and “BAD BEAT” hands themselves, who were eligible at the start of the “BAD BEAT” hand.
